In 1999, Ibanez introduced the Gary Willis Signature Bass.

This bass offers players the chance to purchase the instrument built to his exacting specifications, and an opportunity to get that "Willis sound." The bass has evolved over the years with subtle improvements, most markedly that the GWB1005 is 100% hand-crafted. In Gary's words: "Instead of trying to make the bass more affordable, Ibanez has decided to make it perfect."
